Record warmth!
The wind eased gradually through Saturday. It was a dull day with plenty of rain and mild. February has started off very mild, in fact so mild if the temperatures remained like they are for the rest of the month we could set a new high record temperature for February.
Following on from a record cold December that would be rather odd. However, there's still a long way to go in February and a few sunny, frosty days will quickly bring the average temperature down.
